This document specifies high speed gear units1) (hereinafter referred to as “gear units”) in terms of product designations, overall dimensions, technical requirements, inspection methods for assembly machines, accompanying files and dedicated tools, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This document is applicable to gear units in petroleum, chemical, electric power, metallurgy and other industries, with external involute parallel shaft cylindrical hard flanks supported by sliding bearings, with tooth profiles conforming to GB/T 1356, pinion rotational speed not less than 3 000 r/min or pitch line velocity not less than 30 m/s. Technical specifications for other high speed gear units with similar structure can refer to this document.
This document is not applicable to gear units integrated with other rotating equipment such as prime movers or working machines.
